During College days and later, Nithyanandam was a consistent giver - he gave of his attention, of his time, of unabounded affection to all MCCians making no distinction between his PG peers and the junior most PU underlings.
His hobby and first love - was two wheeler marathon travels. Our Dindigul doyen Chandrasekhar recalls how Nithyanandam and he used to get onto the formers trusty Lambretta, hit the road on circuitous routes like Bangalore, Salem, and touching base at Yercaud at 2:00 am and quickly returning to Chennai. Together this duo has logged other routes like Chennai - Tirunelveli - Chennai and made many jaunts to Kodaikanal.
Adding intense poignancy to the departure of our senior is the knowledge that he succumbed to Corona, breathing his last this (Friday) morning at Madurai
Rest in Peace, Nithyanandam Ramalingam - you leave a void that is difficult to fill...
